Universidad Latinoamericana de Ciencia y Tecnología is a private nonprofit university in San José, Costa Rica. It draws on the humanist tradition to train professionals in a diverse university environment committed to the common good, intellectual openness, and an international approach. ULACIT won the Costa Rican Chamber of Commerce education award in 2004 and was recognized as the best university business school in a study published by the Oficina de Planificación de la Educación Superior del Consejo Nacional de Rectores (CONARE) in March 2003. ULACIT is also a founding member of Sistema Nacional de Acreditación de la Educación Superior (SINAES), a government agency that accredits programs of study in Costa Rica.
