FINPYME® is a methodology for selecting and evaluating small- and medium-size enterprises. It is a system for collecting and analyzing information in order to perform a thorough diagnostic review of a company's position.
The FINPYME® agent will need approximately 40 hours to complete a diagnostic review. 16 of these hours will include interviews at your company and the rest will be used to complete the diagnostic review offsite. It is important for the FINPYME® agents to have your full support in order to complete their job in a timely manner.
The diagnostic review is the document setting out the result of the analysis performed by the FINPYME® agent. It includes a summary of a company's strengths and weaknesses, as well as the threats and opportunities it faces. The diagnostic review includes a score from 1 to 100 that encompasses all of the criteria reviewed. It also offers solutions that are laid out in a Competitiveness Improvement Plan.
Go to FINPYME’s home page (www.finpyme.org) for the current list of participating countries.
With your permission, we will forward your company’s diagnostic review to the IIC’s operation area to thoroughly analyze your company's financial inforamtion.
Our FINPYME® agents will review your diagnostic and, based on the recommendations made in it, will offer you the option to receive technical assistance to reinforce and improve your competitiveness.

Yes. All companies that participate in the FINPYME® program and have a completed diagnostic review are eligible to receive technical assistance in the areas pinpointed by the review. Companies that receive the highest scores will be offered tailor-made technical assistance.
The diagnostic review methodology takes into account external and internal factors that affect a company’s operations. External factors include the competitive and global environment. Internal factors include human resources and the internal standards and procedures that guide the company’s strategy. Information on the company’s human resources, structure, and productivity will also be collected, and its products or services, strategic orientation, potential for innovation, and prospects for the future will all be reviewed.
This methodology provides companies with access to expert opinions on their current situation and offers them solutions for facing future threats. The IIC also offers technical assistance in areas of opportunity detected by the diagnostic review and Competitiveness Improvement Plan.
